Cancer Data Analysis Using Network-based Survival Regression Techniques

The main aim of the project will be analyzing different types of cancer data to identify cancer-causing genes. Students will learn how to analyse cancer data by using penalized regression approaches based on network structures to improve parameter estimation and variable selection.

We will be merging Cox-regression models with network techniques in order to identify new prognostic biomarkers and to provide a better understanding of cancer progression and therapy outcomes in survival analysis.
